Anhydro A/S, Invensys Process Systems, designs and supplies a complete range of processing plants for evaporation, drying and powder conditioning.
Over the years the company has established a position as one of the leaders in the market for industrial evaporation and drying as well as other unit operations for transforming liquid into a high-quality powder.
The production program covers a complete range of alternatives:
Evaporators, Spray Dryers, Spray Bed Dryers, Spin Flash Dryers, Fluid Bed Dryers, Granulation Lines, Coolers and Agglomerators.
Anhydro has extensive test facilities in Copenhagen where above types of equipment are available for product testing and plant/process development. Continuous research and development is a prerequisite for offering the best solution to any drying and evaporation problem.

Role in project
Anhydro participates in the discussions in advance of the validation tests. Anhydro is the workpackage leader of the workpackages (WP 5 and WP 6) performing the tests. Within WP 5 and WP 6 Anhydro plays a major role in the practical aspects of the tasks. Furthermore, Anhydro's industrial expertise and involvement safeguards the objectives of the project targeting on exploitation. Anhydro also plays a major role in the validation of the design
tool and the implementation of the predictive control system which will be installed at the test plant at Anhydro.

Facilities
The test Centre at Anhydro provides qualified process operators, a state-of-the-art pilot plant, spray dryers at industrial scale and a laboratory specialised in powder analysis.
EDECAD-project team
Niels Kristian Stevn (Master of Dairy Science and Technology, working as Technology and Sales Support Manager), several years of experience with development and sales of drying and atomisation equipment.
Jens L. Getler (M. Sc. in Chemical Engineering, working as Patent Manager), several years of experience in the area of patents and Research and Development (as former R&D Manager).
Kim A. Poulsen (Master of Dairy Science and Technology, working as Sales Engineer), experience from the dairy and ingredients industry, drying of dairy and food products.
Tina Sonne Soerensen (Master of Dairy Science and Technology, working as Dairy and Food Technologist and as local Project Manager for EDECAD), experience from production- and development of ingredients for the dairy- and food industry.
Henrik Schønfeldt (M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Senior Process Engineer) with several years of experience in computational fluid dynamics calculation and sizing of industrial size dryers.
